The Story Behind BlackTine

BlackTine was featured on local news segments and entrepreneurial showcases, which helped confirm that this idea was more than a class project. It filled a real need in the hunting industry and showed me there was a market for specialized taxidermy cleaning and preservation.

Built From Real Experience

The inspiration for BlackTine did not come from a classroom. It came from my life as a hunter.

I understand that a mount is much more than an animal on the wall. It represents the hunt, the preparation, the early mornings, the long days in the mountains, and the memories made with friends and family. A trophy holds a moment that can never be repeated.

Why Mount Care Matters

Over time, even high-quality taxidermy can begin to break down. Dust collects on the surface, oils settle into the hide, and insects can quietly damage a mount when it goes untreated.

Many hunters do not realize their mounts need regular care to protect both their appearance and their structure. That realization is what led me to create BlackTine.
